"Sinbad, I..." she started, continuing with the serious tone. She touched her forehead with the free hand: why it had always to be so difficult? Why people had to fall in love with her? No, that was wrong, not with her: just with her image, with her body and with her mask, but not with her. She sighed "i know that you have a... sort of... crush on me... and... i think that... is time to talk about it..."

He froze. He knew all too well where this was heading. And he didn't want to hear it. He wished that time would just stand still right now. Or... not in this moment. But in a moment where he had been happy with her. A moment where he didn't have to think about the future. To think about the fact that he wasn't supposed to love her.
But there was no way to avoid it now.
"Mhm... what about it?" he said in a low voice.

Why had it to be so difficult? Even if she didn't love him, it didn't mean that she didn't care for him even a bit! "You see, Sinbad... it's... it's not respectfull to you continue to think it... it's... it's ok, i mean, you spent a good time with me... you have had fun with me" she was talking just about him, neither once she mentioned herself, nor a 'us'... "it's all good... but... this is not... 'love'... it's just fun..." it was so difficult talk about it, expecially through the telephone, and without can promise him to be there in future: she knew that it could only be a lie...

He put his head in his hand, covering his face.
"Maybe it was just fun to you. But I don't... see it that way... I never did."

"Sinbad... it was just work to me..." she replied in a whisper: she really didn't want hurt him, but... she just couldn't allow him to continue to think to love her: it seemed so wrong, not for her, but... for him... she probably couldn't even have sex with him anymore... so che couldn't continue to delude him... "And... even if you think that there was more... you don't even know me..."

"Yeah... work... I know that..." He made a sad laugh. He was well aware of the fact that he didn't mean anything to her. That it was wrong of him to feel the way he did. But he couldn't help it.

"Oh, no, you're not, don't worry..." she replied with a little sad laugh "But I... i din't wanted to tell it... just to hurt you, I... really didn't want do this... it's just that, you see, you're a funny guy, you're a good man, even if... maybe not a good husband..." a new little sad laugh touched her lips "You deserve someone much better then me, someone that can love you back..."

He waited a little bit before he replied. At first he wasn't capable of getting anything across his lips.
"And then what will happen to you? Are you planning on staying a whore forever?"

she looked at him in the monitor: she really felt bad for him. She even though to say him 'i care about you, i don't love you but i care...' but was selfish and stupid say it: she could make him feel better in the moment, but in future could be worse. When he made a new question, she decided to don't reply with the usual 'it' not your business', she really didn't want be rude in that moment, so, gently, she simply said
"It's not important..."

"I see..." was all he could get across his lips.

"SInbad, I..." she sighed "...i'm sorry..." she simply replied after a while, honest

"... Is it the real you that is sorry? Or are you just saying it because you feel you have to? Pretending as always."

She took the shot, after all she deserved it, didn't she?
"I'm really sorry" she simply replied
"But... you had to know... to go on..." continued in a lower voice

He leaned his head against the wall.
"Yeah... I'm also sorry..." He made a sad smile.
"But... thank you... for letting me know..."

"It was just... right..." she replied in a new sigh "I'm sure that, as soon as you go again with your ginger friend, you'll feel a lot better" she continued, trying to joke a bit

He laughed a little at her reply and looked over at Ariel.
"Yeah... Maybe you're right."
Then he turned his head and looked in the direction of the camera.
"So... What are your plans from now on?"

She looked at him looking at Ariel: so, she did it. Once again, she wasn't important anymore for a person that thought to love her... that was right in this way, she was just a whore...
"We're prisoners, Sinbad... it's really useless have plans..." replied in a sad laugh at his question.

"Hm... maybe so... But it's a bit sad to think of it that way, isn't it." He laughed a little. Not because he thought it was funny, but more just because there situation was so absurd.

"For you maybe... my life wasn't really better then this..." she replied in a sad laugh, once again without noticing that she was talking too much: but her attempt to be gentle with him was leading her to the opening a little more...

"What was it like?"

"It's..." she already started to say the usual 'not your business', but instead she sighed, finishing with "...not the kind of story that you could like..."

"But I'd like to know anyway." He thought about it a little. "And this time I mean it. So if you want to tell me..."

Meg sighed *you'll regret it... you'll regret it so much...*
"Ok, what do you wanna know? You have one question, just one."

Sinbad thought about it for a while. He wanted to know so much about her. But he didn't know where to start. One question... He decided to ask her about something he had wanted to know for so long.
"What is the real Megara like?"

"A... less painfull question?" she asked in a tense joke, without could help herself to avoid the question, as always

ooc: well, who knows, maybe we can start with a question and then deepen, and change it in more questions... 0:)

"Sorry, I didn't mean to bring up any bad memories."
- or maybe that was exactly what I wanted... No, I don't want to make her said.
"Then tell me a bit about your likes and dislikes."

"Likes and dislikes?" she asked in a little laugh: it was a silly, difficult question. But after all it was better then the first one. "I... don't know... i like good wine and alcohol... and... i don't like stay in the crowd..." she replied vague, but, after all, the question was vague itself

"I guess we are quite similar when it come to those sort of things," he laughed.
"What do you like to do when you aren't working. I don't suppose you used to work all the time."

"You suppose wrong..." she replied in a sad laugh "when i didn't work, i used to sleep..."

"Really?" he asked surprised. "That sounds really..."

"How did you get into that kind of job in the first place?"

"For votes, at school, when i was... 13... or 12... then i met Antoine, you know, the whore house's owner, when i was 15." she neither realized that they were going really far away from the one single question

"What about your family... and your parents?"
He had never imagined it started when she was so young.

Finally realizing how much she already said, she replied with a tense joke
"It had to be only one question, hadn't it?"

"Sorry, I guess I forgot," he said with a little laugh.
- Or rather, I thought you had forgotten. But I guess that means that family is a no go... or ... ?
"So does that mean you don't really have a family?"

"is it so important?" asked her, avoiding as always the question

"No, it isn't," he said with a little smile.
- Actually I couldn't care less about your family. I just want to know more about you.
"I was just curious. But if you don't want to talk about your family, that's fine."

"Yeah, that sound better to me" she replied, taking immediatly the occasion to avoid the subject

"So will you choose a subject now, or should I just ask random questions and then you can answer whenever you feel like it?" he joked.

Ariel was sitting on the floor watching Sinbad. She noticed he was on the phone, she giggled and run behind him and grabbed the phone, she kissed Sinbad on the cheek and spoke into the phone

"Hi, sexy red head here, you been speaking to Sinbad, well back off he is mine" She joked, she smiled at Sinbad

"Who are you then?" she asked

"I thought that you already had your question..." she replied, but it was evident that was a too weak deny

Sinbad was surprised when Ariel suddenly took the phone and kissed him.
"Hey.." he said with a smile. "I was using that."
He didn't get to hear what Megara said.

As soon as she realized that Sinbad hadn't anymore the phone and the ginger girl took it, she laughed: she could say so many thing to the little girl, about how she was there before her, but... it was really stupid from her
"Sure, sure... You're Ariel, aren't you? Well... ask to Sinbad who i am" she replied still laughing a bit

She threw the phone back at Sinbad

"Well there you go, can you at least put it on speaker phone so I can hear too, I have nothing to do"

"Yeah I'm Ariel. I'm guessing Meg, right? Another one of Sinbad's whores, don't worry I'm one too" she joked

- Whore? I know she's joking, but Meg's .... he thought with a sigh.
He took the phone to his ear.
"Meg, I'm putting it on the speaker."
In reality he would have loved to hear more about Meg, but with Ariel around it probably wasn't a good idea. So he pressed the button to put it on speaker.

"Well, i think that is time for you to have fun with your little friend, lovely boy. She seems soo impatient to play the 'whore's game' with you..." she joked a little bit bitter, thinking of the girl's words

then, talking this time to Ariel, she continued "Hey girl, Treat him well, he deserves it."
Then she cut off the call.

Sinbad was surprised when Meg suddenly decided to end the phone call.
- I wonder if it's because of the 'whore'-thing.

He didn't have time for Cinderella. Megara was more important at the moment. He couldn't let her out of his sight for too long. Instead he had given her someone to talk to.
At least she won't be alone...
He took off his shoes and quietly went into the bedroom. No one was there... he checked the kitchen and the bathroom, but couldn't find her. He slowly, quietly opened the door in the monitor room to see Megara on the phone with...
With him... he thought bitter.
He watched her for a while until she hang up.
"Having fun?" he asked sarcasticly from the doorway.

As soon as she heard his voice her heart skipped a beat while a chill crossed her back. She turned toward him, her eyes wide opened

But, even if she wanted to think it, she continued to feel worried
"I-i was just... talking... at the phone... i... didn't do anything wrong..."
she replied, trying to seem quiet, even if was was anything but it.

"I know baby," he said and pulled her in for a kiss.
"I like the way you turned him down. Squished him like a little bug," he laughed.
"But..." he let her go and the tone of his voice completely changed.
"Why did you call him?"
