Why can't I have a friend?

Meg was alone in the bedroom, John had left more or less an hour before and now she was watching the television, a cooking program, but actually she wasn't really interested.
Too many thoughts in her mind.
And even shut them was difficult.
Almost impossible.
The voice in her head, her consciousness, was there.
Keeping to talk.
And even if she was avoiding the worse subjects, she couldn't avoide all of them...


Shut up! I like stay alone...

Meg raised up from the sofa, moving toward the bathroom: she stopped in front of the sink and flushed her face, then she looked in a mirror

How i'd loved to have a friend right now...

Meg sighed: even if was hard admit it, her consciousness was right.

John will come back soon!


She took the shot: it was true...
but she didn't want to think about this subject!
She just wanted to talk.
Talk with someone.
To be distracted.
To clearify her thoughts.
Without realizing she started to walk, and when she stopped she realized to be arrived in the monitor room: she looked at the screen.
Maybe there was someone that she could talk with...
Someone that tried too many times to talk with her... about her...
She took the phone


She tried to ignore her consciousness, but she hesitated: she bit her lips and looked at the monitor: In the room number 8 there was Sinbad, and... Ariel. The spicy ginger girl


whispered nastily the voice in her head


Meg squeezed stronger the phone, then she placed it down again and slowly came back to the sofa.
She felt so lonely...
Sinbad was one of the more similar thing to a friend that she had ever had.
Antoine didn't count.
He was more similar to a master.
Surely not a friend.
But neither Sinbad was a friend.
And she couldn't think to him in that way.
He was just a nice customer.
Nice to the point that was pleasant stay with him.
Nice to the point that work was easier and less tiring.
Actually he was one of the best.
Probably the second in her entire life.

Suddenly she listened the door opening, and John's voice reached her.
Locking all her toughts, she smiled and moving toward him

And I'd love to hear about her first nice customer. She is so interesting, and it's always a joy to get to know more about her. I guess that's one of the many things me and Sinbad have in common xD

She's changed a lot now that she's a mommy
I don't think she would react to Meg the way she did with Odette, it just seems like motherhood would make her more forgiving
But I feel bad for Meg, being alone is another thing that Esme could relate to.
It's never fun to be alone, I persoanlly and not just as Esme, understand that
