The Lion's Den

She stared at him, feeling her eyes sting with tears as he spoke. She knew he was right, but she refused to fully acknowledge that fact.

'I was only trying to help!' she shouted back, 'it's what human beings do .. then again if you weren't so heartless, maybe you'd know that!'

He couldn't help but laugh a little.
"Right... help... you'd know so much about that wouldn't you? As far as I see, you've pretty much ruined all of your relationships to the point where they are all unfixable. You're a wreck, and you're throwing yourself at everyone. You're manipulative, slutty, and downright bitchy when you want to. You're the one who needs help. Not me."
With that he grabbed his shirt and put it back on, starting to button it.

'Well, someone did kidnap me .. I mean who wouldn't be a wreck in this place?' she said annoyed, 'excuse me for having a bit of fun before I die in one of your stupid games.'

She sat up suddenly, sick of listening to him talk about her that way.

'If I'm such a manipulative slut .. then why am I still here?' she said slowly as she tried to stand up, clenching her fists and digging her fingernails into her palm to try and distract herself from the pain in her stomach. She fell back down onto the bed, unable to stand up for too long without support, 'why don't you stick me with someone else .. someone who's actually man enough to make up his mind about what he wants!'

"I'm sorry I couldn't find you a more comfortable room Princess."
He said the nickname with spite. Her words didn't affect him at all, because he knew that if he were to turn her words against herself, they would all be true.
"Who do you think you're kidding Odette? Seriously? Look at you! Do you think anyone will ever believe all you're doing is having fun? You just don't want to be lonely, and it's gotten so bad that you are desperate enough to throw yourself at me!"
He finished buttoning his shirt.
"And when her highness calms down, you can think about who threw herself at who, and who couldn't stand a minute of kissing him before pushing him away."
He said it calmly, but grabbed his jacket and walked out the door, locking it behind him.
That spoiled little brat.

She glared at him, wanting to follow him, to shout back at him but the pain in her stomach made it difficult for her to sit up, let alone run after him. Instead she reached over and grabbed the glass of water that she had seen earlier, throwing it at the door as he closed it behind him.

'Fine leave! I'd rather be alone than spend another second with you anyway!' she screamed after him, though she was unsure if she was only screaming at herself now, 'and for your information, I didn't stop because I couldn't stand it .. I ..'

She sighed, frustrated as she lay back on the bed again.

'I'm not going to let him get to me,' she muttured to herself, but she couldn't help still hearing his words, replaying again and again as they echoed through her mind.
