A bad awakening...

Meg had spent a horrible night: in a state of drowsiness from which she couldn't wake up, but she couldn't even have a rest. And during the entire night she felt more and more cold, and a lot of shivers crossed her spine.
When finally in the morning she woke up, the blanket had slipped to the ground, and she, still naked, was trembling. Worse, her skin was burning because of the fever, and she was feeling so weak and dizzy.
When she, with fatigue, opened her eyes and sitted on the bed, resting her forehead on the hands, she noticed that John wasn't there anymore.

she thought with relief: she hated show herself so weak, in those occasions she hadn't any barrier, any defense...
And after all, she was used to stay alone in those occasions...

she sighed to herself: where did John keep the painkillers? In the drawer of the nightstand... Meg stretched to open the drawer and took the package of pills: how many of them had she to take? How many of them did Antoine give to her when she was sick? Well... Antoine's pills were really stronger then those... and after all she didn't know if the painkillers were a solution for the fever...
But she couldn't think to this much longer: she suddenly felt a strong nausea grow in her stomach and so, leaving the drawer opened and the painkillers on the bed, she ran staggering toward the bathroom and then, falling on her knees in front of the water, she throw up.

If John had entered, he would see the drawer opened and the pills on the bed: he could so simply misjudge, he could think that she just took the pills, that she tried to drug, after all the previous weren't good...
But Meg was too weak, sick and dizzy to care about it. She threw up a couple of times, then she had barely the strenght to raise up to flush her face and her mouth before her legs didn't carry her anymore and she slid down the wall sitting on the ground, strengthless.
She brought the knees to her chest, hugging them and resting the head on the knees: she reached out a hand and closed the door. She neither had the strenght to go in the other room to take the painkillers, even if she really wanted to take those pills.
She moaned: oh, crap! Why the hell the world didn't want to stop to turn?

Meg was wrapped in a state of torpor, still naked, trembling, with the hair scattered on the shoulders, the knees to the chest and the forehead restined on them: how much time was passed? She neither knew it. And she didn't care too much. She just wanted to come back in the other room, take as much pills as she could and cover herself with one hundred of covers, hoping to stop to feel so much cold. But she hadn't the strenght.
Suddenly, the nause grew again in her stomach: she had just the time and the strenghs to jump forward to throw up again in the water.
She sobbed keeping her head: too much dizziness, too much nausea, too much weakness, too much cold, too much pain, too much, just too much...

She threw up twice again, only gastric juices since she hadn't eat so much. And it hurted, As her head. As her bones. As fucking everything. And the world didn't want to stop to turn around her. Everything was so confused, so blurred... she sobbed, moaning softly in pain. Suddenly a new dizziness, stronger then the others, left her breathless: she opened wide her eyes while everything became confused, to close them slowly, fainting on the floor and slamming violently her head on the floor....
