The Lion's Den - Part 2 -

[OOC: No Odette, it's not true ]

He had calmed himself by taking a long walk through the garden, and felt a lot better. Actually, he had even forgotten why he was so mad in the first place. Besides, he had to face her sooner or later. He couldn't just abandon his room because a stubborn bitch was hiding in there.
He opened the door and stepped through before taking his top of and throwing it at the dresser. Without acknowledging her pressence, he walked in the direction of the bathroom door.

[ OOC: Yaay I had to make sure, because someone *glares at Sinbad* >.> told me it was true xD ]

Odette lay there, eyes closed as she tried to think about anything other than the fact that everything John had said before was true.
She jumped when she heard the door open, raising her head a little to see him walk in. She watched him for a while, but when he didn't say anything she shut her eyes and rolled onto her side.

'If he's going to ignore me, then I'll do exactly the same,' she thought as she pretended to be asleep.

He walked into the bathroom and closed the door. He needed a shower. He quickly undressed and stepped under the warm water. It didn't take him long to finish and get out. He was still slightly wet, so he didn't want to put his pants on just yet. Instead, he lightly hang the towel on his hips, covering up his private parts before walking out to the bedroom again.

She let out a lengthy sigh as she heard a door close, she was starting to think that being ignored was worse than being shouted at.

She held her breath when she heard a door open again. She glanced around and blushed when she saw what he was wearing. She turned back, closing her eyes again as she swore under her breath.

'Cut it out ..' she muttured as she tried to keep her breathing steady, 'you're supposed to be ignoring him, remember?'

"Cut what out, exactly?" he asked annoyed. Why was she talking to him?

'None of your business,' she said, louder this time before pausing for a moment, '.. bring back anything nice?' she asked sarcastically as she turned around, smirking at him slightly.

"Does it look like I have anything on me?" he smirked towards her as the double meaning behind his words amused him a tad bit.

'I don't know, you might have something nice hidden somewhere ..' she let her gaze wander down to his towel for a moment before looking up again, 'but maybe I was wrong ..' she said teasingly.

He grinned. He couldn't deny that he liked her quick, fiesty replies, but he wouldn't admit to it either.
"Need more water?" he asked as he nodded in the direction of the empty waterglass.

'Sure .. who knows when you'll disappear again and I'm left all alone for hours,' she said as she turned onto her back again and stretched her arms towards the ceiling, 'how long am I going to be stuck in this bed for? You know, it's not much fun laying on your back all day with nothing but the ceiling to look up at ..' she asked with a small laugh before turning to him again, wondering for a moment if she should even bother asking him, but decided to just say it anyway, '.. what do you usually do for fun in here?'

He couldn't help but smirk at her question.
He went up to the nightstand by the bed to get her waterglass. While at the side of the bed, he bent down to make his face inches away from hers before he whispered:
"Well, watching you in the shower is always fun..."
He winked at her, before straightening his back and leaving for the kitchen to fill her waterglass up.

She stared at him as his face came closer to hers, blushing as he spoke.

'Do you .. really do that?' she asked, slightly embarrassed before he walked away.

'It's a shame we don't get the same pleasure,' she said as she calmed down, 'it would be a nice change from what we usually see on the tvs,' she smiled up at the ceiling as she said, jokingly, 'but I'm sure a private viewing would be just as good, you know .. if you were camera shy.'

"Are you really constantly this horny? Or are you just rushing into sex all the time because you fear that's the only thing you're good at, and that's the only thing that will keep men interested?" he asked. He might be rude, but he wanted to know the answer, even though he didn't think she would answer it. Either way he thought he had figured her out pretty well.

'I ..' she stopped, she was still taken aback by his words. She lay there in silence for a few minutes, pretending to think about what he said, even though she already knew that he'd gotten her right.

'I know it's the only thing I'm good at ..' she said quietly, unsure why she was telling him this, 'I was always told that growing up and after a while .. I just thought that was all I was good for .. that's part of the reason I became a .. well you know,' she put on a fake smile as she said jokingly, 'but it was a fun job while it lasted, and .. it brought me here to you, didn't it ..'

"So you always believe what people tell you?" he laughed a bit.
"You need to toughen up girl. Only you can decide who you are."
He said it so nonchalantly while he grabbed a second towel and started drying his hair, giving it a sexy, messy look.

'Haven't you ever been told something over and over again, so many times, that you start to believe it yourself?' she asked and sighed, 'is there any point in trying to change now .. part of me wishes that I was less like, well .. me. But the other part wonders if it's too late to go back to the person I used to be ..'

"It's that kind of doubt that holds you back from being whoever you want to be. Nothing else. Stop blaming your troubles and problems on others. You're the only one holding yourself back."
He didn't bother to brush his hair, but rather left it in the messy way it was.
He grabbed a new pair of jeans and turned to her.
"A little privacy would be nice," he said, gesturing towards the pants as if to tell her he was going to change now, asking her to turn away and not look.

'I never thought I'd be getting .. advice, from you,' she said slowly, 'I'll have to remember that ..' she paused and lay there in silence for a moment, wondering if she even wanted to go back to being her usual self, especially after everything that had happened over the past few days, 'maybe it would be better to change now, before it really is too late ..'

She glanced over at him with a small smile, 'I didn't think there was anything left for you to hide .. but, sure,' she said as she moved onto her side and closed her eyes.

He hadn't really thought of it as giving her advice. More like, brutal honesty. But he wasn't going to comment on it. As he heard her sly remake he couldn't help but roll his eyes once she had turned over and closed her eyes.
Women.

Once he had gotten his pants on he grabbed a shirt and put it on without bothering to button it, still showing off his upper body.
"You can look now," he muttered.
He knew deep down, even if he didn't realize it at the moment, that he must look gorgeous. He was clean to the point where he was almost shining, and his messy, hot hair didn't help either. On top of that the jeans and the open, white, silk shirt gave him the look of an angel. Funny how decieving looks could be.

She glanced back at him, turning away again quickly, blushing when she realised she was staring at him.

'Are you doing that on purpose?' she asked quietly, 'you know, you're making this harder for me ..' she turned back to him, trailing her fingertips across her hips as she stared at him again, 'though I guess these changes don't happen overnight ..'

He looked at her, wondering what the hell she was on about.
"Excuse me?" he asked confused.

'Oh, nothing ..' she said absent-mindedly, continuing to watch him as she turned onto her back again, 'it's just that when you look like that .. it's kind of hard to stop myself ..' she trailed off as she raised her left leg a little and started caressing her thigh with her hand.

He couldn't believe she was trying to seduce him after what he had just told her. How stupid could you get? He was sure she didn't want to change at all, it was just an excuse to seem innocent. She was just like all others. He was disgusted by her.
He quickly buttoned his shirt and covered his upper body.
"Sorry," he muttered.

'That's better,' she said with a smile, 'I'd hate to make a fool out of myself again, especially if I'm the only one that feels this way ..' she lowered her leg again, moving her hand up to rest beside her head.

He couldn't believe her. All he wanted was to slap her as hard as he could across the cheek and maybe get some sense knocked into her.
"Are you for real?" he asked annoyed and left the room, locking the door behind him.

'Wait, what did I ..' she started but he had already left the room.

'Maybe I should just learn to stay quiet ..' she thought as she felt herself tear up. She didn't know why, but the words he said seemed to hurt more than anything else he had done to her so far. She turned onto her side and buried her face into the pillow as she let herself cry, 'I really am pathetic ..'
